Pillars of Creation, NASA, 1995

The Hubble Space Telescope was sent into orbit in 1990. It was over-budget, years behind schedule, and nearsighted. In 1995, April 1the telescope finally delivered an image of the universe so clear and deep that it was dubbed Pillars of Creation. The Eagle Nebula is located 6,500 light-years from Earth.
I choose this image because it caught my eye and it’s very cool. This story behind it is actually very fascinating.
